This Australian contemporary garden was designed to enhance the contemporary style of the building which was designed by an Australian Architect. The use of Australian and New Zealand plantings mirrors the origin of the owners of the property. The relaxed theme includes Banksia integrifolia, New Zealand rock lilies, Dicksonias and Cyatheas, Luscious Water Gums, Variegated New Zealand Flax, Blueberry ash, native Gardenia’s, and NZ Corokias- the barbed wire plant amongst many others. The muted palette of greys, greens, browns, and black of the plantings are mirrored in the materials used in the hardscapes which combine to reflect the natural Australian landscape and enhance the contemporary feel of the home.
Hardscape materials were selected to assist contemporary appeal but included organic materials such as recycled hardwood sleeper steps that guide the journey down from the road to the entry, terrazzo tiles in the entry/pool surround and elevated decks. Management of the drive included excavation and installation of washed aggregate concrete driveway.
Our Horticultural Services team continues to nurture and manage the ever growing garden and maintains it along with the constant seasonal changes. We maintain the mulching, plants, lawns, fertilizing, weeding, pest control and pruning.
